The China International New Media Short Film Festival (hereinafter referred to as the "Short Film Festival") is the only national-level, international short film festival in China. It is hosted by the National Radio and Television Administration and the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government, supported by the China Television Artists Association and the Guangdong Provincial Radio and Television Administration, and organized by the Shenzhen Municipal Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau, the People's Government of Guangming District, Shenzhen, and Shenzhen Media Group. The event is executed by Shenzhen Shenguang Media Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Shenzhen Media Group. Established in 2010, the Short Film Festival is held annually in Shenzhen every December. Its mission is to encourage the creation of outstanding new media short films in China and abroad, identify and support film and television talent, incubate high-quality creative projects, promote the integrated development of the film, television, and new media industries, and advance international cultural exchange and cooperation. After eleven years of development, the Short Film Festival has become one of the most important international short film festivals recognized by the industry both in China and abroad. It has been selected for the Shenzhen Urban Culture Menu, listed as a key project in Shenzhen's participation in the Belt and Road Initiative, and included as a key project of Shenzhen's Creative December.

The client's key challenge was how to translate these thousands of works and present them for review and to audiences in the form of Chinese and English subtitles within the shortest possible time.
